Wales is a country within the United Kingdom. It is to the left of England, and faces Ireland.
The Welsh flag, or Y Ddraig Goch in Welsh, has a dragon on it to represent Welsh strength. Although an alternate flag was used in battles in the 12th century, a dragon has been present on the Welsh flag for centuries. The red dragon on a white and green background originated from King Henry IV in the 1400s, who is said to have decended from the last Welsh king.
The main religion of Wales is Christianity, recorded as taking up 57.6% of the population as per the 2011 census.
The main Welsh economy system is a capitalist market economy. They are governed through the British parliment and the British monarch.
Wales has been a part of the UK since the 16th century. As a country, Wales has had no major conflicts in a very long time, although some people want to become a soverign country (IE they want to separate from the rest of the UK, which would be Northern Ireland, England, and Scotland.)
Wales' main import was machinery and transport equipment in 2024. Their main export also machinery and transport equipment within the same year.
